Unexpected Autumn Flowers.

Autumn decoration is most often associated with pumpkins, leaves and gourds. While the traditional is nice, I prefer to go with floral design for the season that is not so typical.

Here are a few snapshots of flower arrangements that combine Autumnal colors, materials and textures to create Most Excellent gatherings that depart from the ordinary, yet distinctly echo the personality of the season.

It is important to "think outside the box". The use of flowers in Fall colors combined with fruits, vegetables, berries, leaves, etcetera all make a nice statement. The choice of vessel is also important. Something slightly out of the ordinary will add drama to an arrangement. Or, if something more classic is your thing, why not a pumpkin hollowed out with a glass vase placed inside to house an arrangement that crowns the pumpkin?
